Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during a morning at Dark Horse Coffee Roasters. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (55-78) scored fewer runs than the Atlanta Braves (51-83) at Turner Field, 9-6, yesterday.

Jarred Cosart (0-2, 5.14) gave up seven runs on five hits and three walks while striking out just one batter in four and a third innings. Freddie Freeman hit a two-run home run in the third inning. In the fifth inning, Freeman’s bases-loaded walk drove in Mike Foltynewicz, a Matt Kemp single drove in Ender Inciarte and Adonis Garcia, and Anthony Recker‘s single scored Freeman. Garcia drove in Chase d’Arnaud with a single in the sixth inning. Brandon Snyder scored on a Inciarte single in the eighth inning.

Foltynewicz (8-5, 4.31) pitched six innings, surrendering three runs on four hits and no walks with three strikeouts. In the fifth inning, Hector Sanchez hit a solo home run. Wil Myers hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning. In the ninth inning, Myers scored on Yangervis Solarte‘s double, Solarte came home on a triple by Alex Dickerson, and a Ryan Schimpf sacrifice fly drove Dickerson in for the Padres’ final run.

The Padres head to Los Angeles for three games against the Dodgers (74-59) at Dodger Stadium starting tonight at 7:10pm PDT. Clayton Richard (1-3, 3.51) takes the mound versus Julio Urias (5-2, 3.71).
