Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after an afternoon at the pub avoiding Dickhats in and around San Diego. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (1-3) lost the 2015 home opener to the San Francisco Giants (3-1), 1-0 in 12 innings. Ian Kennedy (0-0, 0.00) pitched just two and a third innings (2 hits, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts) before coming out of the game with a hamstring strain. Odrisamer Despaigne relieved Kennedy and pitched four and two-third perfect innings with a strikeout.

Tim Hudson (0-0, 0.00) started for the Giants with six and a third innings pitched with five hits, five walks, and a strikeout. The lone run came for the Giants in the top of the 12th inning when Brandon Crawford scored on a single by Justin Maxwell.

Tonight at 7:10pm PDT the Friars have Brandon Morrow (0-0, 0.00) taking the mound against the Giants and Tim Lincecum (0-0, 0.00) in the second game, aka the Tony Gwynn Opener, of the four-game Opening Weekend series at Petco Park.
