Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (36-47) scored more runs than the Arizona Diamondbacks (37-48) last night at Chase Field, 8-4.

Luis Perdomo (3-3, 7.93) pitched six innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on nine hits and no walks while striking out five. Perdomo got into trouble in the first inning, when Jean Segura scored on a Paul Goldschmidt double and Goldschmidt came home on Yangervis Solarte‘s throwing error on Welington Castillo‘s ground ball. In the fifth inning, Jake Lamb tripled with Michael Bourn on base. Nick Ahmed‘s sacrifice fly in the eighth inning scored Brandon Drury for the Diamondbacks’ final run.

Archie Bradley (3-4, 4.81) surrendered five runs in six innings on six hits and three walks with seven strikeouts. Solarte hit a two-run home run with Matt Kemp on first base to put the Padres on the scoreboard in the fourth inning. In the sixth inning, Wil Myers walked and Kemp doubled to drive him in. Derek Norris then hit a two-run home run. In the eighth inning, after Alex Dickerson drew a walk, Travis Jankowski pinch-ran for him and stole second base. Norris then doubled Jankowski in, Ryan Schimpf doubled Norris in, and Alexei Ramirez drove in Schimpf with a single.

Tonight, Christian Friedrich (4-3, 3.96) gets the start in the second game of the series against Zack Godley (1-0, 4.35) with first pitch scheduled for 6:40pm PDT.
