While You Were Drinking: Game 84 (SD vs. BOS)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a night in the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres dropped the opener at Fenway Park by a score of 4-1. John Lackey looked like his old self and Robbie Erlin couldn’t quite get the Sox to fish for what he was offering.

As the Padres drop to 40-44 they still remain only 2.5 games behind Arizona (42-41) who also continue to slide at the top of the division. Colorado has inched into second place, the Dodgers have moved up into a tie with San Diego, and the Giants have slid into last.

Edinson Volquez and Jon Lester meet for game two, today at 4:10pm.

Out Call

At least the Padres didn’t get shutout again. Thanks Jesus?
