The Padres beat the the Dodgers in game two of the series by a score of 5-2. Clayton Richard left the game after two pitches due to injury but was picked up by the relief work of Tim Stauffer, Tyson Ross, Dale Thayer, and Huston Street. The Padres are now 38-36 and in sole possession of 2nd place in the NL West, 2.5 games behind Arizona.
