While You Were Drinking: Game 72 (SD vs. SF)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a night in the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres lost 4-2 yesterday dropping two out of three in the series. The Padres briefly held the lead in the 7th inning after a Jesus Guzman homer but then things unraveled in the bottom of the inning. The Padres are back to .500 (36-36) with the Dodgers coming to town for a 4 game series beginning tonight.

Two up, two down: Giants 4, Padres 2 – Jeff Sanders (U-T)

Are the Padres buyers or sellers? – Jeff Sanders (U-T)

“I made one good pitch out of the [four] hits,” Gregerson said. “That one to Scutaro was flat and stayed over the middle. Why? I don’t know. It’s one of those days where I didn’t finish the pitches.” [Brock]

The Jesus Guzman HR is worth watching just because he hit it off of Bumgarner. It would have been a good story had it held up.
