Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a night in the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.
Last night the Padres were thrashed 14-2 by the Rockies at Coors Field. You might think that you missed absolutely nothing but that’s not entirely true. It rained during the game and prior to a 1 hour rain delay in the 8th inning, viewers witnessed beautiful bolts of lightning illuminating Denver’s summer sky. It was romantic. Picturesque, in fact. And then Jaff Decker bombed a HR to right field, his first major league hit. That’s something, right?

“Maybe I am tipping my pitches; I have to look at some tape to see what it is,” Volquez said. “It looked like they knew what I was throwing.” [Brock]

Edinson Volquez's electric arm seems less electric. Was a time where you almost put up with control issues due to his stuff. #PPLive

You see the first person Jaff Decker hugged after his first MLB HR? That’s right. That hairline belongs to Norf.
Jaff Decker collects his first MLB hit and HR with one swing. Go enjoy it. And then forget last night.
