Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a night in the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.
The Padres lost to the Orioles 10-3 yesterday, losing both games of the short 2-game series. Eric Stults pitched alright, allowing only 3 runs in 7 innings. Jedd Gyorko got the Padres back into the game with a 3-run home run to tie it up in the sixth. But the Padres bullpen — quite frankly — sucked, allowing 7 runs in the final two innings.
The Padres are off today, traveling to Cincinnati for a 3-game series against the Reds. Andrew Cashner faces Bronson Arroyo on Friday, Tyson Ross gets Tony Cingrani on Saturday and Ian Kennedy goes against Mike Leake on Sunday.

“That’s what the home run does, gets you right back in the game. And then, conversely, a big home run took us out of the game.”

It does seem like A. Hernandez makes more bad calls that hurt the Padres than any other umpire. At least one a series. #pplive

*RJ’s Fro normally does this after Wednesday games, but he’s got a new Padres and Pints to edit. And on top of that, his computer was giving him problems. So, once again, you have the honor of reading my drivel.
