Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a night in the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.
The Orioles’ Adam Jones returned home to San Diego and went nuts, going 4 for 4 with a HR. Meanwhile, the Padres left 71 runners in scoring position. Needless to say the Orioles won the game 4-1 dropping the Padres to 52-61 on the season. Edinson Volquez looked shakier than a 13 year old at his first dance but after 6 innings it wasn’t far fetched to say that he pitched an alright game. Unfortunately it wasn’t good enough.

“Our situational hitting was not good tonight,” Padres manager Bud Black said. “There were a couple of at-bats that weren’t very good. We had some pitches to hit and either took them or fouled them off. We’ve got to do a better job.” [Brock}
