Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (39-51) scored more runs than the San Francisco Giants (35-57) last night at Petco Park, 5-3.

Jhoulys Chacin (8-7, 4.33) gave up three runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four in six innings. The Giants loaded the bases in the first inning and Hunter Pence‘s single drove in Eduardo Nunez and Buster Posey. Joe Panik led off the sixth inning with a solo home run.

Madison Bumgarner (0-3, 3.18) allowed three runs in seven innings on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Matt Szczur hit a solo home run in the third inning. Jabari Blash hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning. Hector Sanchez hit a two-run walk-off home run in the ninth inning.

Trevor Cahill (3-3, 3.38) starts the series finale this afternoon against Jeff Samardzija (4-10, 4.58) with the first pitch scheduled for 1:40pm PDT.
