Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a Sunday afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (3-4) scored fewer runs than the San Francisco Giants (2-5), 5-3, yesterday afternoon at Petco Park.

Clayton Richard (1-1, 2.57) gave up all five runs in six innings on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Chris Marrero singled in the second inning, scoring Buster Posey and Brandon Crawford, and was awarded two bases on a throwing error by Hunter Renfroe that Wil Myers kicked into the Padres’ dugout. In the third inning, Hunter Pence‘s two-run home run scored Crawford and then Posey followed with a solo shot.

Johnny Cueto (2-0, 4.5) pitched seven innings, surrendering two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven. Myers hit his second home run of 2017 in the sixth inning with Travis Jankowski on base. Yangervis Solarte‘s solo home run in the eighth inning was the Padres’ third and final run scored on Sunday.

The Padres travel to Denver to face the Colorado Rockies (5-2) tonight at 5:40pm PDT. Jarred Cosart (0-0, 27.00) takes on Tyler Chatwood (0-1, 6.00) tonight at Coors Field.
