Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (17-31) scored more runs than the New York Mets (19-25) last night, 6-5, at Citi Field.

Jarred Cosart (0-1, 4.50) was hit by a line drive comebacker on the first batter he faced and was pulled after two and two-thirds innings. The Mets scored four runs off Cosart on four hits and four walks with one strikeout. In the third inning, Wilmer Flores‘ bases loaded double drove in Michael Conforto, Jose Reyes, and Lucas Duda. Flores then scored on a single by Curtis Granderson. Conforto’s RBI single in the fourth drove in Juan Legares.

Robert Gsellman (2-3, 6.45) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk in six innings while striking out three. Yangervis Solarte hit a RBI single to score Luis Torrens in the third inning. Solarte’s two-run double in the fifth inning drove in Torrens and Matt Szczur, who had come in for an injured Manuel Margot in the third inning. In the seventh inning, Wil Myers drove in Szczur with a single. Hunter Renfroe hit a solo home run in the eighth inning.

Tonight’s game marks the Major League debut of Dinelson Lamet (0-0, 0.00) getting the start against Jacob deGrom (3-1, 3.56) in the series finale at Citi Field beginning at 4:10pm PDT.
