Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (10-16) scored more runs than the San Francisco Giants (9-16) last night at AT&T Park, 12-4.

Jhoulys Chacin (3-3, 5.82) gave up three runs in five innings on five hit and two walks while striking out six. In the fifth inning, Eduardo Nunez drove in Conor Gillaspie and later scored on a bases loaded two-run single by Brandon Belt. Gillaspie scored again on a Gorkys Hernandez single in the sixth inning.

Matt Cain (2-0, 2.30) pitched five innings, giving up just one run — on a single by Erick Aybar in the fourth inning to drive in Ryan Schimpf — on six hits and no walks with seven strikeouts, but didn’t get a decision after the Giants’ bullpen gave up eleven runs in relief. In the sixth inning, Chris Stratton lasted just one out while giving up five runs and Neil Ramirez lasted an inning and a third while giving up six runs.
