Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (54-66) scored more runs than the Philadelphia Phillies (43-75), 3-0, at Petco Park yesterday to complete a three-game sweep.

Clayton Richard (6-12, 4.84) pitched a shutout on three hits and a walk with six strikeouts in a complete game. No one from the Phillies got farther than second base.

Nick Pivetta (4-8, 6.25) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eleven over five innings. Wil Myers singled Carlos Asuaje in, stole second base, then stole third base, and came home on a double steal with Austin Hedges in the fourth inning. In the sixth inning, Hunter Renfroe doubled to drive in Cory Spangenberg.

The Washington Nationals (71-47) head to Petco Park for four games beginning tonight at 7:10pm PDT. Jhoulys Chacin (11-8, 4.06) starts tonight against Edwin Jackson (3-2, 3.86).
