Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (48-59) scored fewer runs than the Minnesota Twins (51-54), 5-2 yesterday afternoon at Petco Park.

Luis Perdomo (5-6, 4.92) gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings. In the second inning, Ervin Santana hit a two-run single to drive in Miguel Sano & Jorge Polanco and Eduardo Escobar drove in Jason Castro & Santana. Sano added the fifth run with a leadoff solo home run in the sixth inning.

Santana (11-7, 3.37) went the distance, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out nine in a complete game. In the fourth inning, Cory Spangenberg had the first Padres hit of the game and Jose Pirela hit a two-run home run.

The Padres travel to Heinz Field to start a three game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates (52-56) tomorrow evening at 4:05pm PDT. Travis Wood (1-3, 6.42) starts the first game against Ivan Nova (10-8, 3.75).
