Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (44-57) scored more runs than the New York Mets (47-52) last night at Petco Park, 6-3.

Jhoulys Chacin (10-7, 4.22) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks in five and a third innings with five strikeouts. Jose Reyes drove in Jay Bruce with a single in the second inning. In the sixth inning, Reyes drew a bases loaded walk to score Asdrubal Cabrera. Wilmer Flores hit a solo home run in the eighth inning.

Steven Matz (2-4, 5.51) gave up six runs in three innings on nine hits and no walks while striking out four. Manuel Margot hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Margot scored again in the third inning on Wil Myers‘ double and Myers, Hunter Renfroe, and Cory Spangenberg scored on a bases loaded triple by Luis Torrens.

Luis Perdomo (4-5, 4.71) starts tonight’s series finale against Chris Flexen in his Major League debut. First pitch is set for 6:10pm PDT.
