Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (38-50) scored fewer runs than the Los Angeles Dodgers (50-40) yesterday evening, 4-3, at Dodger Stadium.

Luis Perdomo (3-4, 7.48) gave up four runs (two earned) in six innings on nine hits and a walk while striking out three. Adrian Gonzalez hit an RBI double to score Chase Utley in the first inning. With the bases loaded and no outs in the fourth inning, Howie Kendrick doubled and Gonzalez and Yasiel Puig scored. Gonzalez reached on a Ryan Schimpf error in the fifth inning, scoring Corey Seager.

Brandon McCarthy (2-0, 2.70) pitched five innings, surrendering three runs on three hits and three walks with six strikeouts. After Travis Jankowski drew a walk and stole second base, Yangervis Solarte hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Jankowski singled in Alexei Ramirez and took second base on the throw home in the fifth inning.

This afternoon, the Padres send out Christian Friedrich (4-4, 4.42) in the final game of the four game series with the Dodgers against Kenta Maeda (7-6, 3.07). First pitch is scheduled for 1:10pm PDT.
