Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (38-48) scored more runs than the Los Angeles Dodgers (48-40) last night, 6-0, in the first of four games at Dodger Stadium.

Drew Pomeranz (8-7, 2.47) gave up just two hits and two walks over seven innings, striking out six. Howie Kendrick singled in the third inning and Trayce Thompson doubled in the fourth inning. That was the closest the Dodgers came to getting on the scoreboard.

Hyun-jin Ryu (0-1, 11.57) pitched four and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs on eight hits and two walk with four strikeouts. Melvin Upton Jr. led off the game with a solo home run in the first inning. Pomeranz hit an RBI single in the second inning, driving in Alex Dickerson. In the fourth inning, Derek Norris scored on an Alexei Ramirez double. In the fifth inning, a Yangervis Solarte double drove in Matt Kemp and Dickerson tripled to bring Solarte and Norris home.

Andrew Cashner (3-6, 4.42) gets the start tonight against Scott Kazmir (7-3, 4.37) in the second game of the series at Dodger Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10pm PDT.
