Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (37-48) scored more runs than the Arizona Diamondbacks (38-49), 13-6, to win two games out of a three at Chase Field.

Colin Rea (5-3, 4.95) pitched four and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs on eight hits and three walks with four strikeouts. A Chris Herrmann RBI single in the first inning scored Paul Goldschmidt. In the third inning, Yasmany Tomas‘ single drove in Herrmann and Brandon Drury hit a two-run home run. Jake Lamb hit a two-run home run with Goldschmidt on base in the ninth inning.

Shelby Miller (2-9, 7.14) surrendered six runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings. In the fourth inning, Yangervis Solarte singled to score Wil Myers, Melvin Upton Jr. doubled to drive in Matt Kemp, Derek Norris ground out to bring Solarte home, and Ryan Schimpf hit a two-run home run while Upton Jr. was on base. A Solarte double in the fifth inning drove in Travis Jankowski. Myers’ double brought Alex Dickerson in for another run and a single by Kemp brought Jankowski home in the seventh inning. In the ninth inning, Solarte hit a three-run home run with Myers and Kemp on base and Schimpf added a solo home run.

Tonight the Padres are in Los Angeles to begin a four game series against the Dodgers (48-39). Drew Pomeranz (7-7, 2.65) starts the first game against Hyun-jin Ryu, making his first Major League appearance since 2014. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10pm PDT at Dodger Stadium.
