Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (32-43) scored more runs than the Cincinnati Reds (28-45), 13-4, Friday night at Great American Ballpark.

Colin Rea (4-3, 4.81) pitched five innings, giving up four runs (one earned) on three hits and four walks while striking out seven. All four Reds’ runs came in the third inning. Billy Hamilton scored on a ground ball by Zack Cozart that Alexei Ramirez misplayed for an error. Joey Votto then walked. Cody Reed was driven in by another fielding error, this time by Yangervis Solarte. Jay Bruce‘s single scored Cozart and Votto.

Reed (0-1, 6.75) surrendered five runs over five innings on nine hits and two walk with six strikeouts. The Padres scored a single run in each of the first six innings, two runs in the seventh, and five in the eighth. Wil Myers was 3-for-5 with five RBI, including a solo home run in the first inning and a two-run double in the eighth. Melvin Upton Jr. also was 3-for-5, with two, two-run home runs, one in the seventh inning and the other in the eighth. Adam Rosales hit a solo home run in the sixth inning.

This afternoon at 1:10pm PDT, Drew Pomeranz (6-7, 3.00) gets the start against Brandon Finnegan (3-5, 3.81). The game is being broadcast on Fox Sports 1 instead of Fox Sports San Diego.
