Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (24-35) scored more runs than the Atlanta Braves (16-41) last night, 7-2, in the first of three games at Petco Park.

Christian Friedrich (3-1, 2.57) allowed two runs on six hit and two walk while striking out seven in six and two-thirds innings. In the first inning, Jeff Francoeur ground out with runners on first and third base, scoring Ender Inciarte. An RBI single by Chase d’Arnaud in the seventh inning scored Kelly Johnson.

Williams Perez (2-2, 4.62) left after four and a third innings after injuring a tricep. Perez gave up six runs on seven hits and no walks with two strikeouts. A first inning sacrifice fly from Matt Kemp scored Jon Jay. In the third inning, Yangervis Solarte hit a three-run home run with Wil Myers and Kemp on base. A Kemp RBI double scored Myers and a ground out by Melvin Upton Jr. brought Kemp around in the fifth inning. Derek Norris‘ RBI double scored Alexi Amarista, who was pinch-running for Brett Wallace, who had hit a ground rule double in the eighth inning.

Tonight’s second game features Colin Rea (3-2, 4.85) against Aaron Blair (0-4, 7.55) starting at 7:10pm PDT.
