Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (19-28) scored fewer runs than the San Francisco Giants (29-19), 8-2, last night in the second game of three at AT&T Park. The Padres remain winless in eight game this season against the Giants.

Denard Span singled in the third inning to score Gregor Blanco. In the sixth inning, Buster Posey doubled to score Joe Panik and Posey then scored on a Brandon Crawford single. In the eighth inning, Crawford hit a bases loaded triple to score Matt Duffy, Posey, and Brandon Belt. Jarrett Parker then hit a two-run home run to straight-away center field for the Giants final runs.

Jeff Samardzija (7-2, 2.54) allowed one run on six hits and three walk while striking out seven in six and two-thirds innings. Jon Jay led off the sixth inning with a solo home run. Hector Sanchez singled to score Norris, but Jay then ground out to end the game.
