Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (18-25) scored more runs than the Los Angeles Dodgers (21-22) last night, 7-6 on a walk-off two run home run by Melvin Upton Jr., in the first game of a three-game weekend series at Petco Park.

Christian Friedrich (0-1, 2.89) lasted just three and one-third innings, giving up two runs on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts. However, Friedrich put the first runs on the board with a two-out single to score Brett Wallace and Alexei Ramirez in the second inning. Derek Norris added another run in the fifth inning with a leadoff solo home run. In the sixth inning, Christian Bethancourt hit a pinch-hit, two-run home run to left with Adam Rosales on. And Upton Jr. added the final two runs in the ninth inning with his shot to right-center with Wil Myers on base.

Scott Kazmir (3-3, 5.23) surrendered five runs on three hits and seven walks while striking out five in five and two-thirds innings. Cory Seager doubled in the third inning to score Enrique Hernandez for the Dodgers’ first run. In the fourth inning, Yasmani Grandal doubled to bring Yasiel Puig home. A Puig two-run home run in the fifth inning brought Trayce Thompson across the plate. And Justin Turner brought in Carl Crawford with a two-run home run in the eighth inning.

Tonight, Cesar Vargas (0-2, 3.55) takes the mound against Alex Wood (1-3, 4.17) at 7:10pm PDT.
