Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (9-15) scored more runs than the Los Angeles Dodgers (12-13), 5-2, to win the second of three games at Dodger Stadium last night.

Colin Rea (2-1, 4.61) pitched six innings, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Chase Utley hit a two-run home run with no outs in the third inning for the Dodgers’ only runs.

Ross Stripling (0-2, 4.33) gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts over just four and two-thirds innings. Of the nine total Padres’ hits, five of them were doubles. Jon Jay, Wil Myers, and Matt Kemp had back-to-back-to-back doubles in the third inning. In the fifth inning, back-to-back walks to Myers and Kemp led to a two-RBI double by Melvin Upton Jr. Upton then scored on an RBI single by Alexei Ramirez.

The Friars attempt to return the favor of Los Angeles’ Opening Series sweep at Petco Park this afternoon at 1:10pm PDT, with Drew Pomeranz (2-2, 2.86) getting the start against Clayton Kershaw (2-1, 2.43).
