Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (50-66) scored fewer runs than the New York Mets (58-58) in eleven innings, 3-2, in the second of three games at Citi Field.

Jarred Cosart (0-1, 5.03) pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out two. Jose Reyes scored on a Neil Walker single in the first inning. In the seventh inning, Kelly Johnson‘s sacrifice fly drove in Wilmer Flores. Walker scored the winning run on a fielder’s choice by Flores in the eleventh inning.

Jacob deGrom (7-5, 2.30) gave up one run in seven innings on three hits and a walk with nine strikeouts. Yangervis Solarte hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. With two outs in the ninth inning, Wil Myers hit a game-tying solo home run.

Today’s series finale has Clayton Richard (0-1, 6.46) getting the start versus Steven Matz (8-8, 3.60). Game time is set for 10:10am PDT.
