While You Were Drinking 2015 Game 97 (MIA vs SD)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (45-52) scored more runs than the Miami Marlins (40-56) at Petco Park last night, 3-1.

Andrew Cashner (4-10, 3.93) pitched seven innings, allowing just the one Marlins’ run on five hits and a walk while striking out five. In the first inning, Ichiro Suzuki led off the game with a walk, stole second base, and scored on a Justin Bour double to right field.

Dan Haren (7-6, 3.51) gave up all three Padres’ runs on solo home runs. Brett Wallace led off the fourth inning with his first home run as a Padre. Yonder Alonso and Matt Kemp had back-to-back two-out home runs in the fifth inning. Haren ended his night after six innings with eight hits, no walks, and three strikeouts.

Tonight’s game starting at 5:40pm PDT has Ian Kennedy (5-9, 4.78) taking the mound against David Phelps (4-6, 3.91) in the third of four games.
