Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

James Shields (7-3, 4.01) gave up four runs in five and a third innings on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts. Mitch Moreland hit solo two home runs off Shields, one in the second inning with two outs and the other in the sixth inning with one out.

Colby Lewis (8-4, 4.77) pitched seven innings, surrendering three runs on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Matt Kemp hit a two-run home run with two outs in the third inning. Justin Upton and Melvin Upton Jr. each had an RBI. And Yangervis Solarte hit a two-run home run with two outs in the ninth inning to give the Padres the lead for good.
