Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (34-37) scored more runs than the Arizona Diamondbacks (33-34), 8-1, last night in Chase Field.

Tyson Ross (4-7, 3.61) pitched the first complete game of 2015 for the Friars, striking out nine batters with four hits and a walk. And hit a stand-up RBI triple in the ninth inning, as well. The Diamondbacks’ only run came in the seventh inning on a Welington Castillo double to score Chris Owings.

Robbie Ray (2-2, 1.78) lasted five and two-third innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. Clint Barmes was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI. Matt Kemp went 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Derek Norris hit a two-out solo home run in the third inning. And Melvin Upton Jr. hit a two-run shot in the ninth inning.

This afternoon at 1:10pm PDT will pit Andrew Cashner (2-8, 4.24) against Jeremy Hellickson (4-4, 5.10) in the series finale in Phoenix.
