Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (67-76) scored fewer runs than the San Francisco Giants (74-68) last night, 8-0.

Ian Kennedy (8-14, 4.28) got knocked around in four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Angel Pagan led off the fifth inning with a solo home run. Brandon Belt hit another solo home run off Frank Garces with one out in the seventh inning.

Madison Bumgarner (17-7, 3.05) was perfect until two outs in the eighth inning when Melvin Upton Jr. hit a ground ball up the middle into center field for the Padres first and only hit and baserunner of the night.

This afternoon Odrisamer Despaigne (5-8, 5.65) gets the start due to Colin Rea‘s sore forearm. The Giants will send Mike Leake (9-8, 3.70) to the mound. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05pm PDT.
