Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (64-69) scored fewer runs than the Texas Rangers (70-62), 4-3 in ten innings last night at Petco Park,

Ian Kennedy (8-12, 3.88) struck out twelve and allowed two runs on five hits and two walk in seven innings. But the Padres bullpen could not hold the one run lead Kennedy left in their hands. Joaquin Benoit walked Shin-Soo Choo and Prince Fielder singled, bringing up Adrian Beltre, who hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game at three in the eighth inning. In the 10th inning, Bud Norris gave up a single to Elvis Andrus and Mitch Moreland hit a double that brought Andrus around to score the go-ahead run.

Cole Hamels (2-1, 3.70) also threw seven innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and a walk with eight strikeouts. Clint Barmes hit a two-RBI double in the fourth inning to scored Jedd Gyorko and Matt Kemp. In the sixth inning, Justin Upton and Brett Wallace hit back-to-back singles and Upton scored on a Barmes ground out Fielder’s Choice.

Tonight, the Los Angeles Dodgers (75-57) come to Petco Park for four games. Colin Rea (2-2, 5.95) gets the ball against Mat Latos (4-9, 4.76) at 7:10pm PDT.
