While You Were Drinking 2014 Game 90 (SD at COL)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an an evening in the pub.  So here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (40-50) lost last night to the Colorado Rockies (38-53) by a score of 2-1.  The game seemed to go on forever, as neither team seemed to be able to get past second base all night.

Tyson Ross (7-9, 2.93) gave up the only two runs on one home run from Charlie Blackmon in the third inning.  But Ross still kept going through six innings with six hits, no walks, and six strikeouts.  Franklin Morales (5-4, 5.26) got the win, pitching 5 2/3 innings with four hits, three walks and six strikeouts, with the only run coming with two outs in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Rene Rivera.

Today at 12:10 pm PDT the Friars wrap up the series at Coors Field, with Eric Stults (3-11, 4.96) going against Jair Jurrjens (0-1, 15.43) in the rubber game.
