While You Were Drinking 2014 Game 80 (AZ vs SD)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an evening in the pub.  Then you decide to go to Starbucks and go for a drive with your best friend, only half-heartedly listening to the game on the radio.  So here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (34-46) dropped the first game of their three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, 2-1, last night at PETCO Park.  Tyson Ross (6-8, 3.18) was once again left to fend for himself offensively, driving in the lone Padres run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth to drive in Cameron Maybin.

Diamondbacks’ starter Brandon McCarthy (2-10, 5.11) picked up his second win of the season, both at the Padres expense.  David Peralta drove in both Diamondbacks’ runs on a single off of Ross in the fourth inning.

Tonight at 7:10 pm PDT, Eric Stults (2-10, 5.49) goes against Josh Collmenter (6-4, 3.87).  It’s Fedora Night, which means everyone in attendance will receive a trilby.
