While You Were Daycationing 2014 Game 162 (SD at SF)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an afternoon at Sycuan Casino hanging out with the Fox Sports Girls and other great Padres fans. So here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were on Daycation.

The Padres (77-85) lost 9-3 to the San Francisco Giants (88-74), finally ending one of the most disappointing seasons — on and off the field — in the 45-year history of the Friars.

Robbie Erlin (4-5, 4.99) left after just one and two-thirds innings with four runs allowed on four hits, two walks, and a strikeout.

Chris Heston (0-0, 5.06), making his first Major League start, lasted only four innings while surrendering three runs on six hits and two walk with two strikeouts.  Tim Lincecum (12-9, 4.74) pitched two innings in relief of Heston and came away with the win.

The Padres have the next 189 days off until the 2015 season opener in Los Angeles against the Dodgers on April 6th.
