Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during a Sunday afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (53-71) scored more runs than the Arizona Diamondbacks (51-73), 9-1, yesterday afternoon at Petco Park.

Luis Perdomo (6-7, 6.24) allowed just one unearned run in seven innings on five hits and no walks with five strikeouts. Phil Gosselin single and advanced to second base on a throwing error by Perdomo in the seventh inning. Gosselin then took third base on a sacrifice fly by Mitch Haniger and scored on Brandon Drury single.

Braden Shipley (2-3, 5.45) gave up seven runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five in five and a third innings. Travis Jankowski hit a two-run home run with Patrick Kivlehan on base in the third inning. In the fifth inning, an Adam Rosales triple drove in Kivlehan again and Rosales scored on Perdomo’s double. Alex Dickerson led off the sixth inning with a solo home run, Christian Bethancourt scored on a Brett Wallace double, and Wallace was driven in by Kivlehan’s single. Kivlehan scored once more in the eighth inning on an Alexei Ramirez single.

The Chicago Cubs (78-45) come to Petco Park for three games starting tonight at 7:10pm PDT. Edwin Jackson (3-3, 5.36) gets the start tonight against Jon Lester (13-4, 2.86).
