Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during a Sunday afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (45-60) scored fewer runs than the Cincinnati Reds (42-62) in the series finale yesterday at Petco Park, 3-2.

Paul Clemens (1-2, 4.70) came out after pitching four and a third innings, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Jose Peraza hit a two-run home run – his first career home run – with Eugenio Suarez on base in the second inning. Tucker Barnhart‘s single in the sixth inning scored Adam Duvall.

Homer Bailey (1-0, 3.18) – making his first start since April, 2015 – pitched five and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six. Travis Jankowski scored on Wil Myers‘ ground out to first base in the first inning. In the sixth inning, Myers stole home when he caught Bailey not paying attention after a walk to Jabari Blash.

Tonight at 7:10pm PDT, the Milwaukee Brewers (47-56) come to Petco Park for three games. Jarred Cosart (0-1, 5.95) makes his Padres debut against Jimmy Nelson (6-9, 3.42) for the Brewers.
