While You Were (Day) Drinking – 2015 Game 159 (MIL vs SD)

Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (74-85) scored more runs than the Milwaukee Brewers (68-91), 3-1, yesterday afternoon in the final home game of the 2015 season at Petco Park.

Ian Kennedy (9-15, 4.28) — making his last start of 2015, and possibly his last in a Padres’ uniform — pitched six innings, allowing the one run and striking out eleven with five hits and no walks. Shane Peterson hit a pinch-hit solo home run to lead off the sixth inning.

Taylor Jungmann (9-8, 3.77) lasted just three innings, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks with two strikeouts. Yangervis Solarte hit a two-run home run in the third inning. Cory Spangenberg‘s RBI single in the fourth added an insurance run.

Wil Myers left the game in the fourth inning because of left wrist soreness. The same wrist he had surgery on earlier this season that caused him to miss 98 games during his recovery.

The Padres travel all the way to Los Angeles to take on the Dodgers (89-70) for the final three-game series of 2015. Casey Kelly (0-1, 9.00) gets another start and will face Alex Wood (4-6, 4.55) tonight at 7:10pm PDT.
