Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (52-57) scored fewer runs than the Milwaukee Brewers (47-63), 10-1, yesterday afternoon, dropping the game and the series.

Odrisamer Despaigne (5-8, 5.11) surrendered seven runs in five innings on nine hits and three walks with just one strikeout. Khris Davis hit two three-run home runs; the first off Despaigne in the third inning and the second off Kevin Quackenbush in the eighth inning.

Matt Garza (6-12, 4.95) pitched seven innings — giving up the one Padres’ run on a home run from Melvin Upton Jr. in the fifth inning — with two hits, two walks, and five strikeouts.

This can only be described as a horrible game, on all fronts.

The Friars come home to Petco Park and begin a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies (42-67). James Shields (8-4, 3.74) gets the start tonight versus Aaron Nola (2-1, 3.38) at 7:10pm PDT.
