Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an an afternoon at the pub. So here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.
The Padres (39-49) were defeated by the San Francisco Giants yesterday in the rubber game of their three-game series at PETCO Park. Jesse Hahn (4-2, 2.34) was saddled with the loss despite allowing just three earned runs in seven innings while striking out five on five hits and two walks. The problem once again was Tim Lincecum, who allowed just one run in 6 1/3 innings, striking out six with four walks and three hits, one of which was a solo home run by Brooks Conrad with one out in the seventh inning.

“Pretty similar to what we saw from him last time. We weren’t able to string anything together.”
Chase Headley, on Lincecum’s perfomance (Laws)
“A couple more hits fall there, it could’ve been a different game.”
Brooks Conrad (Lin)
OK. Who gets first hit off Tim Lincecum? I've got Denorfia.

Got into an argument with my dad yesterday over whether Headley or Amarista is the better player. Seriously. He’s a season ticket holder.
