Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (5-9) scored fewer runs than the Atlanta Braves (6-6), getting swept in four games with a walkoff loss yesterday at SunTrust Park.

Jered Weaver (0-1, 4.24) pitched six innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits and no walks with three strikeouts. Brandon Phillips scored on Kurt Suzuki‘s ground out in the second inning, after singling, taking second base on Luis Sardiñas error, and moving to third base on a sacrifice fly. Freddie Freeman two home runs: a two-run shot in the third inning and a solo in the eighth inning. The Braves won when Brandon Maurer loaded the bases in the ninth inning and Dansby Swanson hit a single to left field that Allen Cordoba couldn’t catch.

Jaime Garcia (0-1, 4.67) surrendered two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four in six and a third innings. Manuel Margot, Wil Myers, and Yangervis Solarte began the game with three straight singles, driving in Margot for the first run. Cordoba hit a pinch-hit solo home run to lead off the seventh inning before playing left field. And Austin Hedges hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning.

The Friars head home to Petco Park to begin three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks (9-5) tonight at 7:10pm PDT. Jarred Cosart (0-0, 3.86) gets the first start of the series against Shelby Miller (1-1, 5.06).

The Padres (5-8) scored fewer runs than the Atlanta Braves (5-6), 9-2, yesterday at SunTrust Park.

Trevor Cahill (0-2, 4.76) pitched five and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs on four hits and three walk while striking out eight. Adonis Garcia scored on Tyler Flowers‘ single in the fifth inning. In the sixth inning, a single by Brandon Phillips drove in Ender Inciarte and Freddie Freeman. After Miguel Diaz balked in a run in the seventh inning, Inciarte hit a solo home run. In the eight inning, Freeman scored on a Nick Markakis double, Markakis scored on a Phillips single, and Phillips scored on Johan Carmago’s single.

Bartolo Colon (1-1, 4.24) gave up one run on one hit and a walk with six strikeouts in seven innings. Ryan Schimpf was the Padres’ offense, hitting a solo home run in the second inning and scoring on a passed ball on a walk to Erick Aybar in the eighth inning.

The Padres will attempt to avoid the four-game sweep in tonight’s series finale. Jered Weaver (0-1, 4.91) will take the mound against Jaime Garcia (0-1, 5.73) starting at 4:35pm PDT.

Clayton Richard (1-2, 3.60) gave up all four Braves’ runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts over six innings. In the third inning, RBI singles by Dansby Swanson and Nick Markakis scored the first two Braves’ runs. And back-to-back solo home runs by Brandon Phillips and Adonis Garcia in the sixth inning accounted for the other two runs.

R.A. Dickey (1-1, 3.86) surrendered both Padres’ runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six in six innings. The Padres’ runs came from back-to-back solo home runs by Hunter Renfroe and Austin Hedges with one out in the second inning.

This afternoon, Trevor Cahill (0-1, 3.18) returns to take on Bartolo Colon (0-1, 6.30) starting at 10:35pm PDT.

Jhoulys Chacin (1-2, 7.80) gave up four runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out three in five innings pitched. Nick Markakis hit a two-run double in the first inning. Julio Teheran helped his own cause with an RBI single in the fourth inning. And Ender Inciarte hit a two-run home run off Craig Stammen in the sixth inning.

Teheran (1-0, 0.95) pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits and four walk with five strikeouts. Chacin and Manuel Margot hit back-to-back RBI singles in the second inning, driving in Erick Aybar and Austin Hedges, respectively.

Tonight, Clayton Richard (1-1, 2.57) takes the mound against R.A. Dickey (0-1, 4.76) starting at 4:10pm PDT at SunTrust Park. The game will be broadcast on FS1 and not Fox Sports San Diego.
