Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (52-54) scored more runs than the Milwaukee Brewers (44-63), 13-5, last night in the first game of four at Miller Park.

The Padres teed off on Wily Peralta (2-5, 3.90), who surrendered six runs on eight hits and three walks with two strikeouts in three and a third innings. And then they teed off on the Brewers’ bullpen, scoring seven runs on five hits and three walks with six strikeouts. Yangervis Solarte had two home runs and four RBI in four at-bats. Jedd Gyorko went 3-for-5 with two RBI, including a solo home run. Alexi Amarista went 2-for-5 with three RBI. Even Tyson Ross got into the act with his RBI single in the second inning.

Ross (8-8, 3.37) gave up three runs (two earned) in six innings on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts. In the first inning, a single by Adam Lind drove in Jonathan Lucroy and put Ryan Braun at third base. After striking out Khris Davis, a Ross throwing error to third allowed Braun to score. In the sixth inning, a run scored on a combination of singles by Shane Peterson and Jean Segura, a wild pitch, and a single by Hernan Perez that scored Peterson. Scooter Gennett connected off Marcos Mateo in the ninth inning for a solo home run.

Tonight at Miller Park, Andrew Cashner (4-10, 4.13) gets the start versus the Brewers’ Jimmy Nelson (8-9, 3.76) starting at 5:10pm PDT.
