Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a Sunday afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (11-16) scored more runs than the San Francisco Giants (9-17), 5-2, in twelve innings yesterday at AT&T Park.

Clayton Richard (2-3, 4.29) gave up two runs on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five and a third innings pitched. Joe Panik scored on a Ty Blach sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. In the sixth inning, Michael Morse‘s RBI double drove in Hunter Pence.

Blach (0-1, 2.55) shut out the Padres over seven innings on three hits and two walks while recording just one strikeout. The Giants’ bullpen imploded again, with Mark Melancon giving up a two-run home run by Hector Sanchez to tie the game in the ninth inning. And George Kontos surrendered a go-ahead three-run home run by Wil Myers in the twelfth inning.

The Padres are off today as they travel back home to Petco Park for three games against the Colorado Rockies (16-10). Trevor Cahill (1-2, 4.50) gets the start tomorrow at 7:10pm PDT versus Tyler Chatwood (2-3, 4.88).
