Last year I started up a series called the Throwback Thursday Project. In typical Fro fashion, the series did not last long, as I once again became overwhelmed by posting stuff every day on my own and went MIA during my usual time of the season.

In case you don’t know what this project was all about, after continually seeing how little the Padres acknowledge their history I took it upon myself to get to know some of these players from the past and share the knowledge with you guys. I wanted to restart it this year but being that there is so much great content coming out of this site daily I don’t know if I’ll stick to posting these only on Thursdays. I’ll probably just post them when there’s an open spot. To give you an idea of my general template, I started with the top of the alphabet during the 1969 season and an unknown utility player in Jose Arcia. For certain players I’ll include Awards and Accomplishments, the HOF voting and a “six degrees of separation” section (it won’t be as detailed as the post…just a timeline).

If you have any advice, things you want to see added, things you aren’t interested in, then let me know in the comments section or via Twitter or Facebook. I’ll even take a carrier pigeon if that’s your thing. As Padres fans, let’s get to know the Jose Arcia’s out there. It will make us better, more knowledgeable fans and in case you don’t know, that would be a good thing.
