Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (3-6) scored fewer runs than the Philadelphia Phillies (4-5) last night at Citizens Bank Park, 2-1.

Colin Rea (0-1, 5.56) was tagged with the loss after giving up both Phillies’ runs on a 2-out solo home run in the first inning and an RBI double in the third inning, both hit by Maikel Franco. Rea pitched seven innings with five hit and two walks while striking out five.

Jerad Eickhoff (1-1, 1.50) shut the Padres down for seven innings, giving up four hits and no walks with nine strikeouts. The only run for the Padres came in the ninth inning, when pinch-hitter Brett Wallace singled off Jeanmar Gomez with two outs to drive in pinch-hitter Derek Norris, who had walked and advanced to second base on defensive indifference. Pinch-hitter Alexei Ramirez then popped out to the shortstop to end the rally and the game.

The series wraps up this morning at 10:05am PDT. The Padres hope to split the four-game series, with Drew Pomeranz (1-0, 3.60) taking the mound against Vincent Velasquez (1-0, 0.00).
