Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (57-82) scored fewer runs than the Boston Red Sox (78-61), 7-2, in the finale of their three game series at Petco Park.

Jarred Cosart (0-3, 5.16) was removed after three and a third innings after straining his hamstring and groin while covering first base on a ground ball. Cosart gave up three runs (two earned) on two hits and two walk with one strikeout. Travis Shaw hit a two-run home run in the second inning. Shaw then singled in the fourth inning to drive in Jackie Bradley Jr. and later scored on Dustin Pedroia‘s two-run double. Hanley Ramirez hit a solo home run in the eighth inning and Brock Holt‘s pinch-hit solo home run in the ninth inning closed out the scoring.

David Price (15-8, 3.92) surrendered two runs on six hits and no walks in seven innings while striking out eight. Yangervis Solarte‘s RBI double to drive in Wil Myers in the first inning put the Padres on the scoreboard. Myers hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning to drive in Cosart.

The Colorado Rockies (67-72) come to Petco Park for four games starting tonight at 7:10pm PDT. Clayton Richard (1-3, 3.29) gets the start in the first game against Jeff Hoffman (0-2, 6.60).

Paul Clemens (2-5, 5.44) once again couldn’t make it through five innings, giving up five runs on nine hits and three walk with three strikeouts in four innings. With no outs in the fourth inning, Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a two-run home run and Chris Young followed immediately with a solo home run. Hanley Ramirez‘ RBI single with no outs in the fifth inning ended Clemens’ night and Young hit into a bases-loaded RBI groundout against reliever Jose Dominguez.

Clay Buchholz (6-10, 4.99) surrendered one run on eight hits and no walks while striking out six in six and two-thirds innings. Ryan Schimpf hit a solo home run in the fourth inning for the Padres’ lone run.

Jarred Cosart (0-2, 5.14) takes the mound in the series finale tonight against David Price (14-8, 3.92). First pitch is set for 6:10pm PDT.
