Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (63-78) scored more runs than the St Louis Cardinals (72-68), 3-0, in their four-game series finale last night at Petco Park.

Clayton Richard (7-13, 4.78) shut the Cardinals out over six innings on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Craig Stammen, Kirby Yates, and Brad Hand each pitched one of the final three innings in relief.

Lance Lynn (10-7, 2.94) gave up one run on six hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings. Manuel Margot scored on Jose Pirela‘s infield single in the first inning. Wil Myers hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning.

The Padres head to Chase Field for three games against the Arizona Diamondbacks (82-58). Jordan Lyles (0-2, 6.71) gets the start tonight against Patrick Corbin (13-11, 3.83) beginning at 6:40pm PDT.

Dinelson Lamet (7-7, 4.32) gave up two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out eight in six-plus innings. Stephen Piscotty hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning. Tommy Pham scored on Harrison Bader‘s sacrifice fly in the eighth inning.

Jack Flaherty (0-0, 6.00) allowed one run in five innings on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts. Yangervis Solarte hit a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the fourth inning.

Travis Wood (3-5, 6.00) pitched just two-plus innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and a walk with one strikeout. Jose Martinez hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Harrison Bader hit a three-run home run in the second inning. In the third inning, Paul DeJong scored on a fielder’s choice hit into by Yadier Molina and a throwing error by Yangervis Solarte and Stephen Piscotty singled Martinez in. Martinez hit a solo home run in the seventh inning.

Michael Wacha (11-7, 4.21) allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and three walks while striking out six in six innings. Jose Pirela and Solarte scored on a Wil Myers single in the first inning. Wood hit a two-run home run in the second inning.

Dinelson Lamet (7-6, 4.40) starts tonight against Jack Flaherty (0-0, 11.25) in the third game of the series beginning at 7:10pm PDT.

The Padres (62-76) scored fewer runs than the St Louis Cardinals (70-67) yesterday afternoon, 2-0, in the first of four games at Petco Park.

Luis Perdomo (7-9, 4.62) gave up two runs on seven hits and three walks with six strikeouts in six innings. Yadier Molina‘s bases-loaded single in the fourth inning drove in Tommy Pham and Paul DeJong.

Carlos Martinez (11-10, 3.34) shut the Padres out in a complete game on three hit and three walks while striking out ten. Manuel Margot had one hit and Wil Myers the other two. Cory Spangenberg and Jabari Blash each struck out twice.

Travis Wood (3-4, 5.47) starts tonight against Michael Wacha (10-7, 4.20) beginning at 7:10pm PDT.
