Sometimes things can get a little fuzzy after a Sunday afternoon at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (70-86) scored fewer runs than the Colorado Rockies (84-72) yesterday, 8-4, in their four-game series finale and final home game at Petco Park for 2017.

Luis Perdomo (8-11, 4.65) gave up four runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts over five innings. Charlie Blackmon scored on Mark Reynolds‘ single in the first inning. In the third inning, a single by Gerardo Parra drove in Blackmon and Ian Desmond‘s single drove in DJ LeMahieu. Pat Valaika doubled in the sixth inning to drive in Trevor Story. Valaika and Blackmon hit back-to-back solo home runs and a Reynolds double drove in Ryan McMahon in the ninth inning.

German Marquez (11-7, 4.38) allowed two runs over five innings on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Wil Myers and Yangervis Solarte hit back-to-back solo home runs in the first inning. Christian Villanueva hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning.

The Padres start a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (99-57) at Dodger Stadium tonight at 7:10pm PDT. Travis Wood (4-6, 6.55) gets the start tonight against Yu Darvish (9-12, 3.96).

The Padres (40-52) scored fewer runs than the Colorado Rockies (54-41) last night, 9-6, in the first of three games at Coors Field.

Luis Perdomo (4-5, 4.94) gave up seven runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks with no strikeouts in two and a third innings. Charlie Blackmon hit a leadoff home run in the first inning. In the second inning, Mark Reynolds scored on a Trevor Story single. Perdomo walked in two runs with the bases loaded, Nolan Arenado and Reynolds scored on a double by Story, and German Marquez singled to score Story in the third inning. Gerardo Parra hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. A DJ LeMahieu sacrifice fly brought Pat Valaika home in the eighth inning.

Marquez (7-4, 4.34) allowed three runs in six and two-thirds innings on eight hits and two walks while striking out nine. Jabari Blash hit a two-run home run in the second inning. In the seventh inning, Allen Cordoba scored on a single by Carlos Asuaje, who took second on an error. Hector Sanchez led off the eighth inning with solo home run (his third home run in as many games), Jose Pirela scored on Blash’s sacrifice fly, and Cordoba singled to drive in Matt Szczur.

Dinelson Lamet (3-3, 5.93) gets the start this evening against Antonio Senzatela (9-3, 4.63) beginning at 5:40pm PDT.

Clayton Richard (4-6, 4.36) gave up four runs (three earned) on ten hits and no walks in five and two-thirds innings with three strikeouts. In the third inning, Charlie Blackmon scored on DJ LeMahieu‘s double, a Nolan Arenado single drove in LeMahieu, and a single by Ian Desmond scored Arenado. Trevor Story scored on a German Marquez sacrifice bunt in the fourth inning. Story singled in the seventh inning to drive in Arenado.

Marquez (4-3, 4.53) surrendered six runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out nine in five innings. Chase d’Arnaud scored on Allen Cordoba‘s single in the third inning. In the fourth inning, Ryan Schimpf came home on a Franchy Cordero single and Austin Hedges then hit a two-run home run. Yangervis Solarte hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Cordoba’s sacrifice fly drove in Hedges in the sixth inning. Wil Myers hit a solo home run in the seventh inning. Of particular note, Padres’ hitters struck out fourteen times against the Rockies.

This afternoon Jhoulys Chacin (4-4, 5.77) gets the start against Tyler Chatwood (4-7, 5.04) starting at 1:10pm PDT.
