Odrisamer Despaigne relieved Kennedy and pitched four and two-third perfect innings with a strikeout.
Tim Hudson (0-0, 0.00) started for the Giants with six and a third innings pitched with five hits, five walks, and a strikeout. The lone run came for the Giants in the top of the 12th inning when Brandon Crawford scored on a single by Justin Maxwell.
