Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after spending an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (52-55) scored fewer runs than the Milwaukee Brewers (45-63) last night at Miller Park, 4-1.

Andrew Cashner (4-11, 4.08) pitched six innings, allowing two runs on eight hits and four walks with five strikeouts. In the third inning, Cashner walked Ryan Braun, who then stole second, advanced to third on a fielder’s choice, and scored on a single from Khris Davis. In the fourth inning, Shane Peterson tripled to lead off the inning and scored on an Elian Herrera single. Braun scored another run in the seventh inning, as did Adam Lind.

Jimmy Nelson (9-9, 3.57) gave up one unearned run in his six and two-thirds innings on three hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Matt Kemp reached on a two-base error to lead off the fourth inning, advanced to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Yonder Alonso. That’s all she wrote.

In tonight’s third game of the series at Miller Park, Ian Kennedy (6-9, 4.44) gets the start versus Taylor Jungmann (5-3, 2.23) beginning at 5:10pm PDT.
