Sometimes things get a little fuzzy during an evening at the pub. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you may have missed while you were drinking.

The Padres (43-57) scored fewer runs than the Toronto Blue Jays (56-44), 4-2 last night, in the first of three games at the Rogers Centre.

Colin Rea (5-5, 4.98) allowed three runs on five hits and four walks in six innings with four strikeouts. A Troy Tulowitzki sacrifice fly scored Michael Saunders in the fourth inning. In the fifth inning, Devon Travis hit a double scored Kevin Pillar and Travis scored on a Josh Donaldson single. Pillar doubled in Tulowitzki in the eighth inning.

Aaron Sanchez (11-1, 2.72) pitched seven innings, giving up no runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven batters. The two runs came on an Alex Dickerson two-run home run with Matt Kemp on base in the ninth inning off Bo Schultz.

Tonight at 4:07pm PDT, Andrew Cashner (4-7, 4.79) will start (if he’s still a Padre, that is) against Marcus Stroman (8-4, 4.90) in the second game at the Rogers Centre.
