In case you weren’t paying attention…

‘Duk over at Yahoo! Sports was kind enough to ask me to write up some tips about Petco Park for Big League Stew’s “A locals guide” series, where the hometown fans give 10 tips about the home ballpark for visiting fans. On top of all my tips that I thought of right away, I also asked the Padres Public crew for some of their own personal tips. Basically all I was given was “don’t you dare tell anyone about our secret parking spots or we’ll break your legs” and “for all that is holy, tell them to not sit in the Bleachers“.
So check out the post and write some of your own tips in the comments down below. Do you disagree with anything? Did I do Petco Park justice?
NOTE: Bull Taco no longer serves tacos at the ballpark. I found this out on Saturday when I visited the Pier, but I had already sent off the write up by then.
This is where we gather from time to time to talk about something big in the Padres world or just the Padres or just baseball. It’s a roundtable discussion. Except, you know, no round tables. This is a Public House…so we’re at the bar.
We were recently asked to contribute some tips about Petco Park for Big League Stew‘s upcoming “insider’s guide” article. In the process of brainstorming our ideas the general consensus was that the Bleachers section in right field sucks (for lack of a better, more family-friendly term) and is the worst location to watch a ballgame in Petco.
If, by some chance, the Padres were to announce the Bleachers were going away — and they listened to our ramblings — that got us to thinking…
